Mars Ronson Lawsuit

Bruno Mars and Mark Ronson are being sued for alleged copyright infringement over “Uptown Funk.” “TMZ” reports an early 80s funk band called Collage claims “Uptown Funk” and their 1983 song “Young Girls” are “almost indistinguishable.” Collage also notes that Ronson and Mars have previously confessed to being influenced by early 80s Minneapolis electro-funk and soul music.

Obama’s Favorite Rappers

It’s no secret President Obama is a fan of rap but now we know who some of his favorites are. In a radio interview over the weekend, the outgoing occupant of the White House named Kanye West, Jay Z, Kendrick Lamar, Drake, and Chance the Rapper as his current favorites. Obama said “the young guys, Kendrick and Chance are doing amazing work,” and said “Jay Z’s still the king.”

Shanghai Nights Tomorrow

Shanghai Nights is coming to the Niswonger performing arts center. The show is tomorrow night at 7, and features trampoline artists and aerial acrobats, jugglers, contortionists, and martial artists.
